These wine-related offerings can be purchased through our online guest store after booking. Just because you’re venturing out to the country doesn’t mean you have to disconnect from it all. High-speed, low-latency 25 Mbps internet, full-property WiFi coverage, and a dedicated workspace for two in bedroom 3 enable you to keep up with your work on an extended stay-cation at the Vineyard Chateau.

Other Details to Note

The property is a large working country estate with a vineyard, orchard, and extensive landscaping that require regular maintenance. To keep everything beautiful and functional, our caretaker lives in a unit on the other side of the property, over 300 feet from the main house, and additional team members visit occasionally. The caretaker and team are informed of guest schedules and aim to work when guests are out or least likely to be disturbed, but you may notice some activity on the grounds, especially during longer stays. Thanks for understanding — it’s all part of what keeps this place special!

House rules

Pool: The saltwater pool is available during the warmer months of the year — typically May through October. If you choose to use the pool, please respect the rules: 1. Use at your own risk. 2. Shower before entering. 3. Children must be accompanied by an adult. 4. No diving or running. 5. No food or drinks in the water. 6. No glass in the pool or on the pool deck. 7. No diapers in the pool. 8. No street clothes or cutoffs in the pool. 9. Stay off the cover. 10. Cover must be fully open while in use, and fully closed when not in use. Hot Tub: The hot tub is available year round. If you choose to use the hot tub, please respect the rules: 1. Use at your own risk. 2. Shower before entering. 3. Children must be accompanied by an adult. 4. No children under 5. 5. No food or drinks in the water. 6. No soap, oils, or additives allowed in the water. 7. Stay off the cover. 8. Cover must be fully open while in use, and fully closed when not in use. Fire Safety: In our 10 years at this property, we’ve survived close calls with 3 wildfires! The neighbors are on high alert, and will call the fire department at first sight of smoke/flame. Please refrain from using any form of fire/flame, indoor or outdoor, including candles, or the fireplace. The following are the only acceptable forms of fire/flame on the property: 1. The kitchen stove top. 2. The BBQ and smoker by the pool. 3. The fire pit by the hot tub — warming fires only. Nature: The property is located in a remote setting near the prestigious Ventana Wilderness area where wildlife is present. Birds of prey, wild turkeys, squirrels, chipmunks, skunks, foxes, bobcats, mountain lions, as well as tarantulas, garter snakes, king snakes, gopher snakes, and rattlesnakes live in the area and may wander across the property from time to time — to many, this is an attraction! It is normal to see a spider outside, and on rare occasion one may sneak inside. The house is secured and weather tight to keep the outside out, and we do our best to prepare for your visit such that the nature stays outside the home. And if a house spider is found during your visit, we will even assist with their humane removal. But this wildlife is on the property, and if you are not comfortable with this, please reconsider your stay at this property. Bubbler Tub: If you choose to use the “champagne bubbler” bath tub in the master bedroom, please respect the rules: 1. No colored bath oils/products allowed in the tub (it’s sensitive to staining). 2. Do not operate the bubbler until the tub has been filled with water. 3. Keep the water level below the in-tub controls. 4. Drain the tub immediately after use. 5. No more than 2 people in the tub. Kitchenware: We are foodies and we’ve outfitted the indoor and outdoor kitchens with high-end tools such as All Clad pots & pans, Lodge cast iron pans, J.A. Henckels knives, a KitchenAid stand mixer, a Vitamix blender, a Weber Performer grill, and more. These items must be used with care, hand washed & dried only, and the cast iron should be washed in hot water without soap. Be Water Wise: The house and property are on a private water system fed by a deep, in ground well. The water quality is pristine, and the system is well designed and maintained. But a well is not an infinite supply of water, so please be conservative with your water. And while all the water is safe to drink, we recommend the reverse osmosis tap in the kitchen for drinking. Septic System: Please refrain from flushing anything other than toilet paper down the toilets, and don’t dump grease, chemicals, or anything that is not septic-safe into the drains. Our plumber charges $250.00 minimum. Security: Please close & lock all windows and doors when you leave the property. While you’re a guest in our home, you’re responsible for the security of the home. Cleaning: A cleaning has been included with your stay, however it does not include cleaning up your dishes, or deep cleaning due to excess use. Should any of these items/areas require cleaning, we’ll assess a minimum $250 additional fee. Our Personal Belongings: Our family lived here full time for the past 10 years, and still spend time here throughout the year. We’ve done our best to secure our belongings out of your way — toiletry tubs in the bathroom cabinets, zip-ties on closet handles/cabinets, the garage, etc. Thank you for respecting our privacy.

Amazing time at this beautiful home. The hosts were responsive and ready to address any question or issue (only had one major problem temporarily which was an issue with the hot water). Private, beautiful, and so comfortable. We spent our honeymoon here and wished it didn't have to end. An inspiration for the home we want to build someday.

Daniel and Aubrey's home was such a peaceful and beautiful place to spend a weekend. Much better than any resort; hot tub was amazing, the kitchen is very well-stocked, awesome lounging spaces in the living room and around the property, and lots of wildlife to spot. They were also very communicative and helpful. The vineyard walkthrough and tasting with Cody was also wonderful and informative! We learned a ton. Thanks for the great weekend!
